My goodness we had more new faces show up at the Oct. meeting! Introductions were made, and we learned that there are quite a number of people interested in finding natural or organic foods and products as well as people offering their services. Mike from Jersey Girls Farm brought samples, and talked about their cow shares available for raw milk and cream (see the local producers tab on our website). Celeste from Sacred Blessings talked about her business in Florence (120 E. Main), and says that she already orders organic items from United Natural Foods. Vanessa brought hydroponic tomatoes, lettuce, and squash. She offered to supply us with (and deliver to a central location in Fremont co.) fresh produce + organic eggs throughout the winter. We also talked to Jill from Canon Canvas Products who has a variety of natural items at her business (16150 Hwy 115, Florence) – honey, lotions, lip balm and candles. It was a great meeting — with Nancy & John Chase opening up their beautiful home, and providing natural and yummy goodies for the crowd. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 2nd at Gina’s house 511 N. 9th (Canon City) at 4:30 pm.
